Several large manufacturing plants have operated in Rabun County for many years. Hanes Brands currently operates on of the largest yarn spinning plants in the country in Rabun Gap and employs most of its 380 personnel from our community. Fruit of the Loom also operated a large textile manufacturing plant in Rabun Gap until 2006 and employed 960+ from our workforce.
